Wednesday June 17, 2009
Sorry this is going to be a quick post, but tomorrow will provide for a lot more information. I will be telling about my two, I said two experiences at the drive in and provide reviews for each of the movies I have seen recently. Also a quick update: Grandma Bonnie is still in the hospital and is going to have some more tests in the morning. But today I decided that I was going to try to make some of the days of the week have some special segments other then me talking about myself. So far I have that Wednesday will cover a Bible verse/s or an inspirational quote. Thursday will be a review of movies or television show day and Friday I will try to include some kind of humor. The other days will be looked into and probably include something in the future. Today when I came in from the barn and gazed my eyes on a plaque that I had received as a gift during my open house. I decided that I should sit down, shut off the tv, and really analyze what this plaque was suppose to teach. It says "Faith is taking the first step even when you won't see the whole staircase." It was said by Martin Luther King Jr. who was a great leader and while he is known for having a dream, I think we can all say that he changed history and left a mark on this great nation. He probably did not know how well he would be remembered, but he took a step that would change the world forever. He didn't know that he would make a difference, but he did and now his step made a great change. As I head into college I see this a the little step into a big, new world that will lead into the staircase of life. What I think a reader has to take from the quote is that you have to take chances and try something new every now and then and in the end even the smallest step could lead to the final and possibly greatest finale.
