Well, here it is...the end. If you would have told me it would have come this fast and would have never believed you. It is amazing to me how fast it has all gone. So many great memories and so many hours since move-in, it is now time to pack up and leave. Life is truly a roller coaster when it comes to comfort. You finally get to a place where you belong and love everyone around you and then in the blink of an eye it is all gone. This week has been extremely sad as it trickled away. People continually disappearing and campus going through a slow death. I hope that everyone would agree when I say this had been an amazing and impacting year. When you are in the moment you don't usually pay attention to the little changes going on around you. Everyone grew up soooooo much and I know that everyone I have talked to will go out and do something great.
I titled this blog stay classy for a reason. Not only is it a joke from a movie and also what I put at the end of all of my other blogs, but it is my wish for everyone who touched my life this year. Befor I go into it too deep, have a look at this video about our generation.
As you can see we have some problems that need to be changed, but I know because of the people I met here at Ball State there is a bright outlook. I hope that you never change and you remain the same "classy" people that I know today. You all have amazing gifts and I want to take time and leave a message for you (Not in a specific order):
Adam: Thank you so much for being there for me this year. I know that you care about me and are willing to do anything for me. Without you I would have never been in 2C. You are a great guy with a great future ahead of you. You are an awesome role model and I am so happy that you met the girl of your dreams this year. I am sure I will see you this summer (maybe even more than I have this semester. LOL). Stay Classy!
Austin: You have always been there for me through the good and the bad. It was not just this year, it has been for several years now. This year has been amazing and would have never been the same without you. Throughout the year I have watched you grow and mold your positive characteristics. You are a great guy and you will make a difference in the world because you care for everyone. Stay Classy!
Matt: Thank you for always being on the same path that my mind is on. I understand you and you know how to provide for my needs. You are the most intelligent kid I have ever met. You are going to do incredible things for architecture. Thank you for teaching me so much and showing me the world. Someday we will travel the world and I am going to miss being able to see you every day. You are a great guy with amazing talents. Please don't forget me and Stay Classy! Have fun in Germany!
Joey: How can I write about you? You have redefined life and my perspective of so many social groups. You are so talented, but I want you to learn to focus them to good. I wish I could borrow some of your tactics to be a better friend. I will miss all of the time we spent together and the memories we have shared. You will probably forget about me, but some day I hope you take over the bank and give me a call. You will do great things and be very successful. Stay Classy!
Nathan: Spirit, Leadership, and Enthusiasm all wrapped into one little ball topped with crazy blonde hair. I knew from the first time that I saw you that you would be a great and fun friend. You have inspired me to be active in the community and to try harder to make a difference. Thank you for changing my life and I hope you will remain in contact with me. I know you will change the campus of Ball State and maybe the world. Good luck and Stay Classy!
Heather: I can remember the first time I heard you complain about something. Haha. Those days are long past and we all have learned to love you for who you are. When I think about my most improved award for the year, it would definitely go to you. It has been amazing to watch you mature and find your world outside of the Fort. I am glad that our paths have crossed and I only hope the best for you in the future. Remember to stay in touch and Stay Classy!
Katie: All men think with you know. We have grown up since then Katie. I have come to realize how great of a person you are and what you will do for this world. Today I do not understand why I thought that fashion was not important, but now I see that it is not all about those Chemistry quizzes. It is a lot more than that. I loved getting to know you and watching you become a college student. You truly are an inspiration for the cold hearted with your warm smile. Don’t ever change and Stay Classy!
Kevin B: The Mental Attitude improvement award would most certainly go to you. Kevin when we first met you were truly going through a transition. I did not think I would ever be able to tolerate your cockiness. Then I watched the beautiful butterfly emerge from the cocoon. You have grown so much this year and I have loved every minute of it. Watching your mistakes and hanging out with you has made me grow and appreciation for you. Thank you for giving me faith in a generation that is like how you were at the beginning of the year. Keep improving and go out and change the world! Stay Classy!
Anyone at Ball State not listed: You probably are not reading this blog because you don't know about it or just don't care. Some people I had on the list originally and had to get rid of because I need to study more. If you want to hear what I have to say about you let me know. The people here at Ball State have truly been great in my transition and I know that I couldn't have done it without you. Don't forget me if you become rich and famous.
My supporters and family: What would I do without you? I love you all so much and I thank you for being there for so many years. You have been so supportive during my time here with care packages and attempts to keep in touch. I can’t wait to see you this summer. Please get in contact with me so we can do something. Once again thank you and I hope you also Stay Classy!
Finally 2C as a whole: You guys have been so awesome this year. Through the good and the bad, we have learned from each other and laughed together. I love you all so much. You have opened my eyes to a new world filled with a bevy of opportunities. I hope you all will be able to remember the first time we met and the great adventures we shared. There will always be a place for you in my heart. 2C was a place where we all felt comfortable and learned to evolve into the adults we are today. Do not forget me and the times we shared together. It was a great experience, but sadly we have to move onto a new journey and path. Thank you for always putting up with me and believing in me. I hope that you had the time of your life.
