January 1, 2011
The first day of the year has always been an inspiring one for me because it is a way to finally see that I have accomplished so much. While I was asleep for half of the day, it was a time to look back on how much my life changed over the year. I got my first summer job at the bank and learned to deal with and love a large variety of people who were really just coming to visit me because they had a problem with their money. Another thing…Oh, I got involved at Ball State University. Sometimes it is alright to sit back and watch others take charge, but I finally got my calling from an inspiring friend of mine. Of course taking these positions put some of my life to rest or at least a slow like blogging, watching Hulu, or taking great naps, but overall the evolution was for the better (as I hope to see in the future when I get back to campus). These are not lessons that I learned today, but things that have been sitting in the brain for a while now. Today, I gained appreciation for something that I have been taking for granted for a long time. As a family we had game time! We played Boxers or Briefs and Sequence and while these games are nothing alike it was awesome to just sit down and enjoy each other’s company. I love my family so much and I love watching them continue to grow. I’m not saying that I am perfect, but that we all have areas for improvement. It was great to start the New Year on such a great note. I can only hope for continued happiness as I continue to cherish a special moment throughout the rest of this year.
