Today I visited the elementary school for a second time this week and realized I didn’t get to nearly all of the places I wanted to this break. I wanted to go to each of my bank branches, to the high school, to Chicago, and many other random places. What I realized is that it doesn’t matter how many places I didn’t make it, but how many I did. At the elementary school I was a le to meet and learn about more students. It amazes me how fast they will open up to you if you just take time to listen. This was reflective with the teachers and also other individuals I saw at the basketball game tonight. Just sit down with someone and ask about how they are doing. If you are willing to be an active listener they will develop a new respect for you.
