This morning I woke up the same way as I do every Friday to open the door for Sherri the cleaning lady to come in and clean. Today, however, was not normal. When I awoke I found a text from Donelle asking if I was awake. Of course I went to her room as quickly as I could. You see her chair had shorted out on her and she was being told that she would be stuck without a chair for a week. To put this in perspective say your car stopped working. How are you going to go to work? How about groceries? How about all your daily needs? This is what she was going through. That’s when I realized instead of sleeping, I needed to be there for her. I can comfort people and that is what I did. I was inspired to know that she called me to comfort her. She felt like I could calm her down and I am glad I could be there for her.
